Tonight the boys achieved "Senior Black Belt" in Karate. Watching these two very independent young men was very surreal, weren't they just babies barely able to walk? Both demonstrated their favorite moves and how to "walk with confidence." After an initial hesitation they were quick to volunteer and facing the sea of proud parents showed their amazing skills. Surely each parent and grandparent's heart swelled with pride, but none as much as mine.
